The final scenes in last week's "Once and Again" were terribly overwrought,
as Lily consoled a broken Rick. Let's hope the show gets back to basics -
namely, subtlety - tonight, as the Sammlers prepare to move in with the
Mannings, at 10 on Ch.5.

"YOUR HOUSE"....Jonatha Brooke
Take me down to your house
Show me where you live
Room by room, all the things you cherish
Tell me where you're going
Show me where you've been
Year by year, all the things that you wished
And I'll give my love, give my love
Angel, I am here and I am.....yours.
Whisper me your secrets,
I won't tell a soul
One by one, I'll treasure every story
This is where our love goes
Circling back again
This is heaven's gift to us to tell it
And I'll give my love, give my love
Angel I am here and I am....yours
Tonight we'll speak the old words
Caress the silence
Tonight we'll tell the whole world where to go
I will walk the way in,
You'll take the journey out
Path across our hearts, eyes wide open
Room by room, year by year, one by one, say goodnight,
Love...
Love.

Let's not be greedy, and expect television to serve up superlative series in
all three hours of prime time tonight. Instead, let's count our blessings
and settle for two out of three. Blessing one: NBC's "The West Wing" at 9.
Blessing two: ABC's "Once and Again" at 10.
"Once and Again." Business complications have dominated plots the last two
weeks, but tonight, personal problems return to the forefront — especially
when Lily and Rick (Sela Ward, Billy Campbell) finally engineer a dual-family
move into the same hectic household.

Then again, sometimes you have to give a great show its head. Yes, the Miles
plot on Once and Again (ABC, 10 p.m. ET/PT) went on too long, but it climaxed
in two of the best episodes done on TV this season. Now we move on, as the
families prepare for next week's season-ending wedding.

On Once and Again (10 p.m., ABC), plans for the Sammlers and the Mannings to
consolidate households are complicated by the volatile Carla and her effect
on Eli.

"Do I need to stand over you to guide your hand?"
"...wear disguises and pretend we're Canadians"
"That's not making decisions, that's avoidance"
"What the h*ll was that?"
Obvious speakers on this one-but good lines:
"I have lived longer than you"
"And look how well that turned out"

Once and Again's Eli Gets Ditched
Wanda has the scoop on Once and Again's runaways and the upcoming wedding.
From monino: Can you give us another Once and Again hint? Who runs away
on the finale?
Actually, it's not the finale, it's the episode before. And as for the hint,
their names rhyme with "Rely" and "Barla."
From evanichole: You mean Eli and Carla, right?
Can't pull anything over on you! Yes, Carla decides to run away, and she asks
Eli to go with her. He says yes, but when he goes to meet her, she stands him
up. This opens the door to some googly-eyed scenes between Eli and Grace
during the finale--which, by the way, is ultrasweet and ultraweepy.

From northernlite: Wanda, I've got to know--what's going to happen on Once
and Again?
I'll give you another hint about the pair that decides to run away together
in the season finale. It's a male and female. (Last week's hint: You probably
don't want them to be together.)

Moving On
The Sammlers prepare to move in with the Mannings in a pivotal episode.
Rick and his two kids are finally ready to share a single household with Lily
and her two daughters. But the relocation is complicated by Lily's unexpected
teen houseguest: the troubled and volatile Carla (Audrey Marie Anderson), who
seeks sanctuary from a "hateful" stepmother. Once again, Carla works her
wiles on an infatuated Eli (Shane West), whose longing to pursue his
girlfriend's wanderlust sets the stage for a moving confrontation with his
dad, Rick (Billy Campbell). Samantha: Melora Hardin. Grace: Julia Whelan.

Any info on Once and Again?
I told you last week that two of the characters decide to run away together
on the season finale. Can't spill yet, but here's a clue: Most fans don't
want these two to be together.

"Moving On"
I am not sure about this one. I have heard that it might be about Carla being
caught by Lily. Also, I think Carla might be leaving in this episode, poor
Eli.
