Tiffany's Shower
The on-again, off-again shower eventually takes place. Judy, Lily, Grace, and Zoe are there, and Jake makes an appearance. The highlight of the event is the Goddess Circle orchestrated by Zoe.

Fall down, go boom
Jakes finally explodes when he feels barraged by unreasonable requests of him by all the women in his life. Unfortunately, he does this when Grace and Zoe are present and this affects him the most.

It has nothing to do with you as a father
Lily actually apologizes to Jake in private about her recent treatment of him. The heart of the exchange is that his behavior as Jake the husband has nothing to do with his behavior as Jake the father.

This one is a little fuzzy. I'm running on deductions, but it looks like JATW may spread over 10 or so days.

Night # 1 -- Jake rubbing Tiffany's feet at Lamaze class. A weeknight, though not sure which. We'll see later that one of their classes is a Friday night.

Day # 2 -- Jake drives Grace to school and asks how the play's coming. Possibly the same day/night, though maybe not, Zoe and Grace are at Jake's (!!) watching a movie. Could be a Thursday, or a Friday, or a Saturday.

Day # 3 -- Ah-ha, this HAS to be a weekend day. Lily, Grace, and Zoe are helping Judy set up shop at the new BL. Jake wants Vic to fix the transitions before they open "next week." Tiffany, fully dressed in red, arrives and a baby shower is mentioned. Also mentioned, the hospital tour that night at 8PM. [On a Saturday? A Sunday?] Later, back in the kitchen, Lily writes, Zoe plans, and Grace doesn't get the "whole baby culture." That night, following the tour, Jake tells Tiff the shower isn't a good idea. Tiffany phones Lily with regrets.

Day # 4 --- Jake assembling at Tiffany's. Later, Lily visits with a baby snowsuit and has some sage tea.

Day # 5 --- A workday, Rick and Sam drop off BookLovers sign before returning to the Dreiser (sp?). Kate from the Trib arrives to interview Judy. Perhaps that night, Zoe and Grace talk about pictures, doing a collage for the shower.

Day # 6 --- This would be Friday. Rick has to run, but kisses Lily first....then greets Jake, who has come to pick up the girls for school. Lily tells him he can come to the shower. Grace and Zoe beset him to bring a cake, food. Poor Jake, lots to do in one day. Said food is delivered to BL later that day, and Lily calls (from work) to see if Jake can take Zoe to get a present that night. No can do, as Jake has Lamaze class. But he'll do it first thing in the AM before the shower. Judy leaves BL for an OB/Gyn appt -- she asks her doctor how much "time" she has to have a baby.

Day # 7 --- Saturday, the day of Tiffany's Baby Shower! :o) Jake takes Zoe "shopping," as he said he would, and picks up food. I won't review the rest, but we all know that it's a FULL day for everyone. Tiffany really does have "the best time."
